Canon Powershot Macro Setting
Trying to obtain a macro shot!?
Trying to take close my eyes with my Canon PowerShot G9 .... that is set to macro, but does not focus to large. Any advice on setting up the job?
I'm assuming you're using the camera timer and it has on a tripod or something to keep him quiet. If not, do. I'm also assuming you want a tight shot of his eye with no visible all around, except a little of his face. Set up the shot so you can place your head against a wall or something to keep your head steady and in the same position. Make sure you have plenty of light so you do not have to use a flash, but an aperture setting around f10 or more. Instead of macro zoom from a few feet away. You may have to try several times to the nails, but that's the way I would.
