Uploading RAW images from a Canon Rebel Xti?
In my photography class my teacher was showing me how to change the format to RAW to JPG the camera is set to RAW but I forgot to change it back to JPG, so I went to upload the photos I took to put them on Facebook for my friend. But now only I can open them in Photoshop. Is there a faster way to change all the images in a RAW file to a JPG? At the same time, preferably? I have Windows Vista if that makes the difference
The difference between JPEG and RAW is that while JPEG is a standard worldwide, varys RAW from camera to camera. RAW is essentially the output data direct from the unprocessed image sensor in the camera. Since RAW is not processed in the camera, it's not really an image until it is processed by the software on your computer. Your best option is the software that came with the camera. You must have an option to batch convert your RAW to JPEG. If you do not have the software, see the website Canon should be able to download for free.
